so many times I have had this happen. I do a project in vectrics and put it on a usb plug it into the controller and the message comes up that you are outside the cutting area? There should be some way the controller can interpret what you designed and place it inside the boundaries of your particular machine. this is probably a vectrics question but I do not understand why the software and the hardware are so inscrutable to one another.
I found with Vectric going all the way back to version 6, that sometimes when you create a shape like a rectangle or another polygon it places it way off the work piece.
I learned this after a student crashed the school cnc machine as it was rapiding to reach the shape.
Prior to creating any toolpath I always zoom way out to see if there’s any stray shapes.
Saves on headaches later.
