So I was going to use the machine today and the spindle warm up file was suddenly corrupted
Almost everybody will have this happen eventually. Several causes for it. Dirty/damaged usb, power conditioning, processing speed, etc.
Here’s a fun scenario that will make you nervous…
I was once running a laser toolpath that was going to take several hours, so I cranked up the feed a bit. However, this was a greyscale photo which was a HUGE file. Masso couldn’t handle reading and executing that much info with the higher feedrate, so it just moved to a random corner of the machine, stalled with no alarms, and continued to fire the laser. Luckily, it didn’t crash or start a fire. It also created several folders full of nonsense symbols and corrupted the original file.
