# Brake motor install (how to?) (solved)

Is there anything that needs to be known when replacing the standard Z stepping motor on an Elite Journeyman with the Z braking motor?

Is it just a matter of unbolting the original and replacing it?

it’s a straightforward swap. Unbolt old one, bolt on new one (ensure all dip switches are ‘on’) and go!
