Hey \_dan,

yes, this is true, at least on some models. I own a [Festool CTM MIDI I](https://www.festool.com/products/dust-extraction/mobile-dust-extractors/574822---ctm-midi-ii) and it has an “exhaust-air outlet” to which you can attach a Festool hose to exhaust the air outside the building. It is described in the [manual](https://www.festool.de/product-downloads/file?path=8df2f078-b1ef-11ed-8a3e-005056b3ad01.pdf).

Some people use this workshop vacuum cleaner for dust collection on their Onefinity, e.g. Lee Turnbull @TDE [as can be seen here](https://forum.onefinitycnc.com/t/fold-down-wall-mounted-cnc-table/4783/23).

However I think I will rather use the [Felder AF 22](https://www.felder-group.com/en-us/shop/air-filter-dust-extractor-sc123618/af-22-dust-extractor-modular-system-sp123646) for dust and chips extraction on a CNC.

It’s made in Austria and the motors are made in Italy. What I like is how easy it is to **change the chip bags during operation** , and the choice of different motors. Here you can see the bag change within 28 seconds: [FELDER AF 22 DUST COLLECTOR – Youtube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFNP_C0QU8k). Here another video:

- [The Felder AF22 Dust Extractor - Could this be the best value Dust Extractor on the market? – Youtube](https://youtu.be/gzazM03uw3U?t=84) – in this video a person replaces a Jet dust collection system with induction motor and big cyclone separator (that looks a bit like the Axminster AW118CE) by a Felder AF22.
  - Note that the person in the video uses a rather unorthodox method to attach it to the wall. They does not seem to know you can get the AF22 as rolling carriage **or** with wall mount brackets.
