Firmware 1.1.1 not finding 1.2

Just curious about the 1.1.1 firmware. I have been using it and not noticed any issues (yet)
is it ok to keep using this until a newer version is released? I am also waiting for my PWN spindle kit to arrive and Daniel (owner of PwnCNC) said he has version 1.2 and it should be used because he is listed in the menu to set the controller box to all of his settings so I wouldn’t need physically reset all the settings. Where is that one listed or is it just a pilot to test out?

Hey Bill,

you got to look in the firmware category

Firmware 1.2 beta

You install it manually with the ADMIN → “Upgrade via File” button

EDIT: I just saw this:

Thank you for the information.
So do I actually have to re flash the sd card or can I download the 1.2 as is even though I did the 1.1.1 a couple of months back but have not noticed any issues. I am not on wifi so everything was done with a sd card

This is a beta release, you may want to wait for the final release.

I agree, no telling how much longer for that but I understand they are doing their best to resolve the issues some are having. Thanks again for responding…Bill

Four hours ago 1F said it should be released this week.

Great news Mitch. Thank you for the update

I am on version 1.1.2 and during long cuts (had one the other day for 1 1/2 hours) the processor locks and has to be rebooted to respond. During the process sometimes the program will continue to the end of the project while the screen is locked up. Other times the cut just stops and XYZ does not move. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to when this is going to happen. Any ideas on why this happens?
Could it lose internet connection? the programs are uploaded thru WIFI not thumb drive. Any help would be appreciate since this processor is becoming unreliable.

Yes, these are known bugs of the 1.1.X branch.

Please REFLASH to 1.0.9

I tried reflashing to 1.0.9 following the directions support had sent a while ago.

It continued to happen even with 1.0.9.

Will the 1.2 version eliminate this issues?

I read the Beta version will be coming out soon.

Any idea when the fully tested version will be completed?

They said this week. I’m just going to wait for the update

If it happens with 1.0.9, you have a greater issue, most likely EMI. Search the forum for ‘emi’ and you’ll get a ton of helpful info.
