Hey Rob,

#### Cables

for connecting your new cables to the machine here are the

- Specifications for the [Cable Connectors Used on the Onefinity](https://forum.onefinitycnc.com/t/cable-connectors-used-on-the-onefinity/1886).

For doubt about these Molex/Amphenol connectors and better replacing them everywhere (while you’re at it), please see [here](https://forum.onefinitycnc.com/t/voltage-present/8599/18).

For choosing cables:

- If you have a spindle, see please see [this](https://forum.onefinitycnc.com/t/80mm-upgrade-cable-question/10209/2).
- For the [trim router](https://www.makitatools.com/products/details/RT0701C) and the stepper cables, [here](https://forum.onefinitycnc.com/t/z-axis-vibration-and-misdirection/8900/18).

If you want water cooling hoses later too, I suggest a profile of at least 15x40.

#### Emergency Stop

An Emergency Stop for a [spindle](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Induction_motor) is NEVER between spindle and [VFD](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variable-frequency_drive). This is written in the first pages of every VFD manual, even in the cheap Huanyang VFD manual!

An Emergency Stop for a spindle would not power off the VFD either, but activate one of the Intelligent Terminals on the VFD which you would have programmed to serve as [ISO 13849-1](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_13849) Safety Inputs, or similarly programmed to initiate the spindle stop command. You can wire an Emergency stop switch directly to the VFD, or make use of a [ISO 13849](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_13849) [Safety relay](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Safety_relay) such as a [Omron G9SE](https://industrial.omron.co.uk/en/products/g9se) ([datasheet](https://assets.omron.eu/downloads/datasheet/en/v3/j198_g9se_safety_relay_unit_datasheet_en.pdf)), wired as follows:
