I just ordered a Raspberry Pi 500+,

For the money is hard to beat, it’s a Pi5 with 16g RAM and SSD HD and mechanical keyboard, fully functional outside of a monitor and mouse.

Plenty of hardware to grow into, and no need for enclosures and sourcing other bits, unless you’re already in the Raspberry Pi platform.
