I was trying to upgrade from 5.7 to 5.13 using the above and that is when I got the error about the calibration memory settings. I’m stuck and have send in e-mail to support for more help.
When you update your firmware, you must then reload the configuration files.
Here’s how (#3): Elite Series Masso Default Machine Settings
Shout out to support. Did a fantastic job helping me out with my issue.
don’t go from5.7 straight to 5.13, see my posts abive about doing them all in sequence. see also the link support replied to you with. you need to do that at each update.
Masso sais you do not need to install firmware updates in sequence.
All updates contain all info from previous versions.
I only looked that up after the fact.
I probably should have thought about that before jumping.![]()
I went from 5.07 to 5.13.
So far so good![]()
I updated about an hour ago.
Im still messing with it to make sure nothing bad happens.
The only thing I notice so far is the timing when it picks up a new tool with the atc.
Don’t know if it is my imagination, but it seems like there is a very slight delay when grabbing a new tool. Like 1/2 second. Nothing to be concerned about. Might be a built in safety check?
I do like the improved override control, and the added offsets.
Yeah, that ability to (finally) RAISE not just lower the speed was the main motivation to upgrade. I used to intentionally program it too fast and then start at 50% and ease up to the sweet spot.
Til you forget, just that one time…. Way better being able to go from half speed to 2x without changing any code.
The extra offsets are coming in handy for sure though. I now have 54-59 set in fixed positions for femces and jigs, and can use the 54.1 set for random one off setups.
