OK COOL, thx for the response, I get it, if most want the joy pad you go with the most.
I will wait until and see about cutter comp working correctly, and G43 for z touch off.
I will also wait to hear If a pendant works or not. I’ll stay with masso if no pendant. but thats just me. i would like Both how bout that. I have used a pendant for 35 years, it is a need for me.
I’m ready to order a foreman today but curious if I should wait. And by wait I don’t particularly want to wait 6 months for it to be in my hands. So the question is how far are we thinking this controller is out. I know it’s a crap shoot but I’m sure for some of you that been using one finity for years could give a little insight
Thursday friends! We’re doing a Early Adopter promo special. There is a VERY limited quantity in this listing (live this thursday at 10am eastern). Once they’re sold out, their out.
There is no IPP trade in (yet, maybe 2026). Get it while it’s hot (and fresh and version 1.0 )
Ha! I understand completely. I have had my eye on getting a Onefinity for 3 or so years. Now that my shop is pretty much usable in the last few weeks I started looking into actually purchasing the Elite since I have the funds right now. So I was biting at the bit to put my order in. But then there was the announcement of the this new Redline Controller. So the timing was/is almost perfect that I waited this long. But like you I am you I am having a hard time with my patience now.
Basically I do not want to miss the introductory price as shown in the video. I’ve missed out on “While supplies last” sales before because of the lateness in receiving the message of the greenlight of the sale. So I am trying to monitor the best I can so I can catch it.
I did email Onefinity just after the video was released asking about the introductory sale to see if there was some sort of ETA on the release. The reply was that an annoucement will be made by “Email, social media blast (not sure what avenues on that will be, don’t have Facebook), and more will alert everone to it!”
Does the Redline controller require the use of the redline spindle or the Onefinity rotary? I put together my own spindle and rotary for use with the buildbotics and want to know if the Redline controller can accept non-Onefinity or Redline peripherals before upgrading.
The Redline controller only officially supports the Redline spindle.
You can use generic spindles, see the spec sheet.
It can use a non Onefinity rotary, it just has an a axis, so you’ll have to plug in your rotary with a similar closed loop stepper and figure out your own correct settings for it to rotate correctly.
In short, yes, you can use other things, but it might be more work.
