I am having the same issue. I have varied speeds feeds, but not cut angle. This may just be a property of the wood. I have found that the wood fibers are scored but not cut and requires a little chisel or scraper persuasion. Have there been any updates to your issue?
Abrasive cloth flap of the finer Grit and being a lot more picky when behind the wood you could almost tell specially from The Big Box store if it’s going to be real moist
Try a down cut bit, all of that will go away to clean lines no sanding.
