Hey Brian,

This is a new topic, since it’s not the “User interface freezes” issue, but the “[Monitor is intermittent](https://forum.onefinitycnc.com/search?q=monitor%20intermittent)” issue.

If the problem persists, you should be aware that…

Both should be indicated in your VFD manual, including **which wires to use** , on a page that should look [like shown here](https://forum.onefinitycnc.com/t/what-is-needed-to-wire-up-2-2kw-220v-spindle-and-vfd/11123/2). As you can see there,
>

> - On the output of the VFD, i.e. the **spindle cable** , you should use shielded **3+[PE](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protective_earth)** for the three-phase spindle, like shown here:

And finally to not only prevent [EMI](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnetic_interference) but also to comply [EN/IEC 60204-1](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEC_60204) safety standard, the machine should be [electrically bonded](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrical_bonding) and [grounded](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earthing_system),

- as [described here](https://forum.onefinitycnc.com/t/proper-grounding-how-have-you-grounded-your-frame/12331/22) ←
