I have just set up my Batch 3 Apprentice and connected my Ubuntu Linux laptop with the RTS-X for linux (64bit). The application loads and provides basic information about the system, allows me to jog the spindle around, kind of set home for both machine and work piece. But when I load a file (Carveco) it won’t display the 3D model, and gives me an error when I try to run it.
Error message:
“Toolpath warning: The current toolpath is trying to cut outside of the machine limits. Exceeded X minimum travel by 1”
@markpc did you find how to solve this problem? I have the exact problem. The proposed solution here is completly wrong. The problem is that the file IS NOT loading. That is why you dont see the 3d view and this is also why you get the error.
I’m searching an older version. But cannot find any online. Anybody here have an old version for linux I can download?
Hi Guy, I didn’t solve the problem, but I avoided it. I used an 8GB Raspberry PI 5. The HMI download works on it and I attached a 27" monitor that swivels’ to portrait mode. There is no option for a keyboard so I use a wireless mouse to control it. Right now I am using a SD card to run everything but will change to M.2 ssd soon.
