It is disappointing to say the least, that I need to buy yet more gear to control my vac like the Masso did with a simple plug wired and mounted on the controller. I am not an electrician. What do I need to buy to get this straightened out. I want the vac to come on just like it does with the Masso. is there a video on how this is done for the gen 2 redline? I have that little breakout board, but Realtime shows yet another couple pieces of kit and how to wire it, but it does not look like the breakout board I already have so……. please advise. I am beginning to wonder what I was thinking when I bought this new machine. Endless hiccups. this was supposed to be plug and play and easier than before but nope. It is not.

Can you describe in more detail how you controlled the vac on your Masso machine?

Have you looked at the following resources…

sorry ONEFINITY but to me this is deer in the headlight’s material. I have not a clue how to do this or what I need to buy to do it. that wiring diagram might as well be Greek. I need video hand holding. and a parts list i can order on amazon or what ever kind of store sells this stuff.

It is odd to me that they sell a vacuum switch the can turn on a 220 volt vacuum from a 120volt tool but not the reverse. They even have a wireless one, but the sender is the 120 volt, and the receiver is the 220 volt, just the opposite of what I need.

My frustration is the IoT relay will only handle 110v/10 amps, which limits the functionality to a small shop vac. Most 110v dust collectors are going to draw 15 amps.

You could use the relay to actuate a contactor rated at higher amperage.

Actually, this has been solved. My problem was that the post processor supplied by vectrics did not allow for the g code needed for the vacuum to come on and off automatically, but when requested, they supplied it free and it work perfectly.

Thank you. Today I was able to get my laser to work properly along with everything else on my new machine. I had one little hiccup when I changed from my laser back to the spindle head and had to perform a reboot (power button) because the machine locked up.
