This is a copy of the email I sent to tech support. I’ve sent it twice, so I don’t know if it’s getting through or not. If I get an answer there I’ll note it here. I’m not trying to call anyone out…I just need some assistance.

My machine has developed a problem when moving on the X-axis that it makes the noise in the video. Also, sometimes it moves in the wrong direction as I’ve tried to show in the video. This only happens about 75% of the distance from front to back on the y-axis. When I move to a point further forward, this doesn’t happen. The second video shows this. It’s either on or off, based on a point on the y-axis. I have tried squaring the machine, tightening the couplers, and everything I could think of. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your email.

It’s 100% a wire issue. This faq will help you diagnose which one it is.

> Rail is getting hung/stuck/grinding. Special notes to read before following each step: A rail getting stuck/hung is typically one of two things, either a wire/connection issue or the grub screw on the ball screw isn’t tight on the side that isn’t moving. One thing to remember, stall homing adjustments do NOT affect rail movement during cutting or jogging. If the rail isn’t moving correctly during cutting or jogging, incorrect stall homing is an affect of this greater issue. Any time the axis …

When I pushed the x-axis motor wire harness into the clip it worked…for a few seconds. So I think there’s probably a short in the wire. I’ll order a new wiring set.

Thanks for the help.

Good evening Quesohusker I have several questions and I am new to the forum. First, how do members email each other directly?
