Good day fellow ‘CNC’ers. New into this line of woodworking. 35 years with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, having retired as a Sergeant. Always been a DIY trades person. Know a little about everything, but not enough about anything.
My first CNC project was a major challenge. I make chessboards and was commissioned to make one for a world renowned celeb. I included his company logo utilizing a Longmill CNC, creating the art piece using wenge wood and then gilding part of it, in 22 kt gold leaf. I embedded the artwork dead centre and level to the surface of the board. Finally apply epoxy. Beginning in 2025 the board will be used by this celeb and his celeb friends in a monthly chest match podcast.
