I am husband to the Love of My Life - known her since 1973 when I met her in our high school band and married since 1978. We both have a great fondness for critters, and have had pets for all of our time together. Currently, we have YoYo, the best cat ever, and Louie, a flying squirrel abandoned by his mother when he was too young to do for himself.

I have enjoyed many pursuits in life, and started the working life in 1973 as a trombone player in the 25th Infantry Division Band in HI. From there it was bass trombone in the State Symphony Orchestra of Mexico, college, university, and years and years as a high school music director. From there, oddly enough, was a move to school administration where I ran a program called Santa Barbara Computers for Families. From there it was years and years as a university administrator and adjunct professor of music theory. Through all of this, I’d spent every moment I could steal woodworking.

I’m now retired and building our retirement house on Lake Nokomis in Tomahawk, WI. The theme is English cottage with direct lines to Stickley, Greene and Greene, Limbert, and others. The cabinets and doors and some special areas get cloud lifts, and that has led me to CNC. I want to finish and enjoy the place for a few moments before meeting my natural end.

While a complete CNC novice, my woodworking experience is deep. I’m looking forward to learning about the former and sharing anything about the latter that anyone might find of use. Thanks for having me!
