I retired from 34 years as a Civil Service employee from McClellan AFB in Sacramento, Ca. After HS earned an A&P aircraft mechanics license, started work at McClellan as aircraft mechanic. Worked on air planes, radar systems, navigation systems. At 35 had a back injury causing a job change. The Air Force taught me to became a computer programmer and write database apps, I worked in an IT dept, taught a variety of software programs to civilians and AF personnel, eventually got into the security system administration.
As a teenager dad got me interested in woodworking. Spent most of my life cutting wood up and gluing it back together into something useful. Now I use VCarve, Fusion 360, my Onefinity Journeyman and a garage full of tools to entertain myself, family and friends. Built 2 airplanes, one aluminum and the other wood, and a 16ft wooden catamaran before I was 30. I do have a pilots license.
