I’m a retired Journeyman Machinist/ Welder, Industrial Manager, Computer Programmer, and Call Center Department Manager, who has loved wood and woodworking all my life. My working life ended in the economic downturn of 2008. From that point I relaxed and rode my 1986 Honda GoldWing and worked in my 375 square foot workshop. Then my wife became ill with dementia, and I became a caregiver to her, for the last 11 years of her life.
In November of 2021, my son and I started our search for a good value in a CNC Carving machine, and I was committed to OneFinity. It took some convincing with my son that this was the right machine but he finally did and the order was placed the same month with a very long backorder list.
We have since upgraded to a 3 hp, air-cooled spindle and we are in the process of converting the controller to Mach 3. The OneFinity Woodworker has proven to be very reliable and has helped me create many projects.
My current goal is to take this hobby to an income-earning one. We have established Lignin Built as a business and intend to participate in several craft fairs in the next few months. I have also found several local businesses that are willing to sell my signs and carvings in their stores.
