I am the Technical Production Manager and educator at Vermont State University Castleton. My role covers live sound, recording, lighting design, projection, AV network infrastructure, fabrication, stage automation, systems integration, and the technical systems that support theater and live events. I also teach Stagecraft, where I train theater students in the practical skills they need to succeed in technical theater.

We added the Onefinity Foreman with the Redline Controller to give our students direct experience with modern CNC workflows. CNC fabrication is becoming a standard skill in professional shops, and having access to this equipment on campus gives our Theater majors a real advantage. It helps them build precision, consistency, and a deeper understanding of how scenery, props, and production elements are made.

My background includes studio recording, mixing and mastering, live sound engineering, broadcast production, scenic construction, rigging, automation, and the design and integration of audio, lighting, and control systems. I work comfortably across CAD, woodworking, electronics, networking, and production workflows, and I use a Mac-based ecosystem for design, programming, and fabrication.

Areas I focus on with CNC:
• dependable and repeatable workholding
• fixture and jig design for theater production
• shop furniture, inserts, and layout tools
• precision parts for lighting, audio, and mechanical systems
• clean toolpaths and realistic feeds and speeds
• integrating CNC fabrication into a Stagecraft curriculum
• developing workflows that students can use in professional environments

I’m here to continue learning, contribute where I can, and share projects or tools that might help others in the community. My goal is to bring CNC into VTSU theater education in a way that prepares students for the work they’ll face in the field.
