I’m a retired engineer (electrical) and double majored; the extra being computer science. Had visions of going into robotics but never acquired a job in the field but did do many years in either building and/or programming control systems. I have been a woodworker for years mostly building furniture along with woodturning, which is my zen active because I never design anything beforehand. Whatever pops into my head when I put it on the lathe. Nice change from the exactness of furniture making.

Now is time to branch out and try something new. I thought a cnc would be a good fit for me being familiar with programming systems, albeit, cnc is more art and drafting than actual programming. An elite journeyman has been ordered. Can’t wait to get it. In the meantime, have been ramping up on VCarve Pro.
