I ran this code 3 times and got 3 different holes every time. Look at the circle areas only. There should be one hole in each circle, i.e. one plunge in each circle, however it seems that on each pass, the machine started from a slightly different location. The 2nd pass I just ran the code again. The 3rd pass I rehomed and got yet another new hole on each plunge…
I zeroed the same way before each pass - X and Y from the rail sensors, Z from a touch pad (although that doesn’t matter as much for this because its just drilling straight down).
What could cause this problem? I am worried that there is something wrong with my machine.
I will try the probe tonight and see if I can get consistent plunges. However, the reason to use the rail sensors is this is to drill holes on the waste board for screwing down. So the program is running the entire 4 ft x 4 ft. I wanted to only have one set of holes in my table. Also just learning the machine.
Hi Ken, sorry for super late reply, I was going through my alerts. I found that the problem was because I had removed the red plastic bushings from the motor couplers, and this caused the motors to not work properly and be imprecise. When I replaced the bushings, everything worked fine!
