Filefinity Featured File of the Week

Introducing Filefinity’s Featured File of the Week - #1

Don’t miss the tip at the bottom of this post!

There are a lot of CNC files on Filefinity and sometimes you stumble across one that makes you immediately think, “Well…I know what I’m making this weekend.” That’s exactly why we’re introducing the Filefinity Featured File of the Week!

Each week, we’ll be digging through Filefinity and randomly choosing a cool project that catches our attention. It might be incredibly useful. It might have a clever design. It might teach us something new. Or, quite frankly, it might just look like a whole lot of fun to make.

The goal is simple: highlight a great file and actually make it ourselves.

We’ll share what caught our eye, why we think the file is interesting or helpful, and—most importantly—what it was really like to turn that digital file into a finished project.

Along with each future Featured File (say that five times fast!), we’ll share a video summarizing the actual experience of making it. We’ll load up the file, fire up the CNC, make some chips, and show you how the project comes together in the real world.

Because here’s the thing… We’re makers too.

We know the satisfaction of starting with a piece of material and ending up with something you can hold in your hands. We also know how much time can disappear designing files, setting everything up, and figuring out how to turn an idea into something your CNC can actually cut.

That’s what makes having a library of ready-to-run CNC files at our fingertips so much fun. Sometimes you don’t want to spend hours designing. Actually, we don’t really know many people who ever like to do this! Sometimes you just want to walk into the shop, find something cool, grab a file, and MAKE SOMETHING.

Our Featured File of the Week is our excuse to do exactly that—and hopefully introduce you to projects and creators you might not have discovered otherwise. So keep an eye out each week. You never know what we’re going to make next. Honestly…neither do we.

For now, check out this week’s Featured File by clicking here! Although we will add, if you are brand new to using your CNC, it might be a good idea to start with one of our wasteboard surfacing files. We have one for every single size and type of Onefinity CNC machine. See them all here.

One site, infinite CNC files—and plenty of excuses to make more stuff.
