Thanks! It was a Clayton Boyer design. The plans specified which pieces could be solid wood and which should be plywood… if I remember, there were only a few plywood parts. It was a gift, so not sure about cracking but probably would have heard back about it if so.

Makes sense that some of it was plywood. The big gear on my Magica would have been mighty fragile out of solid would.
