I agree with Ken, it depends how the machine will be used, either hobby stuff or production stuff.

But I can show you what I did with my mounting of the rails to the plywood table. I used some 1/2 inch alum. plate. Each corner has 3 plates. 2 on top with the top plate being a spacer with clearance holes and the bottom plate has tapped holes for the foot mount and clearance holes for mounting to the plywood. The bottom plate has tapped holes. This basically grabs the plywood with a bigger foot print and I am using bolts instead of the lag bolts that were supplied with the machine.

The bolts I used in the machine foot was 1/4-20. The bolts I used to hold it to the table was 5/16-18 with a lock nut even though the bottom plate has tapped holes. Just some extra security so vibrations won’t loosen the bolts.

This does set the machine 1” off the top of the table.
