Redline Elite with Redline Controller- multiple issues for newbie here

First of all, I am new to using a CNC router….so be nice! But I have the following issues with my new Redline Elite using the new Redline Controller.

  1. I am setting my z-zero off the wasteboard and trying to do a profile cut and it keeps cutting into the wasteboard. I have already surfaced my wasteboard so it should be very flat. I am am using the probe to set z-zero (and yes I have it upside down as shown in the picture). I have even tested the z-zero after probing to verify its at the surface and it is. But when I cut, its cutting into the wasteboard. Its also noticeably different between jobs, some up to .040” deep. Any thoughts?

  2. The wifi stabilitiy is terrible. It takes forever to connect and it will drop out within 10 minutes every single time. Signal strength shows just fine.

  3. I have the QCW table with stands. When jogging at the .005” step specifically in the Y-direction, it shakes the table terribly. Same thing happens when boring a hole that is size just a bit over the diameter of the endmill. Do I need to stiffen up the legs of the table or change some speed settings on the machine?

  1. did you also surface your material?

  3. This is normal. We have an HD leg kit coming out that will add more stabilty (take away the shaking) if you need it (eta possibly by end of year)
