What are the correct offset settings on the Masso controller for the Revolution?
Ok, found the answer by looking at the [spec sheet of the Revolution](file:///C:/Users/StenP/Downloads/Onefinity%20Revolution%204th%20Axis%20Rotary%20Spec%20Sheets.pdf) //@OneFinity: what’s with the weird fractional inches there, just put mm; the inch to mm conversion mismatches by 0.2mm //
For the rotary aligned with the X axis that would be:
X offset = -120mm
Y offset = 55mm
Z offset = 35mm
X move and Y move - the numbers around the probing square’s corner - should be 15-18mm, as the touch plate on the rotary is 20mm wide
The spec sheet shows X axis distance 105mm between the tip of the jaws and the touch plate’s edge. This distance would only apply if the bit sticks out of the chuck, so that the collet nut doesn’t touch it.
If you’re using a bit that sticks out of the collect (assuming ER20) 45mm, you can (CAREFULLY) use X offset = -105mm; sticking out 35mm: X offset -112mm; sticking out 25mm or less - X offset = -120mm
After probing jog the machine by hand to X=0 Y=0, then turn the rotary to make sure the collet or the bit doesn’t touch the jaws
