VFD software issue (aftermarket)

Hi everybody,

I’ve just signed up as I am building my very first CNC machine. It’s quite a a learning curve, but that’s also part of the fun.

I have bought a Vevor Spindle and VFD set, and I’m trying to get this to work. But it keeps giving some strange issues.A friend of mine who is experienced in VFD’s already tried to help but we got stuck. He thinks it may be a software issue. So I’m hoping someone here may be able to help me

We have set up the spindle with the standard 400 Hz settings as provided in the manual. This works.

There are some issues though:

  • after pressing “start” there is a pause before the spindle starts. I can’t seem to be able to remove the pause.
  • acceleration and deceleration can’t go faster than 6,5 seconds before an error occurs. My friend normlaly wets this for one second with no problem on other VFD’s.
  • We’d like to run at 1000 rpm at max. power (8A?) to be able to do some drilling etc. But this also gives an error .

I’ve encluded the manual with settings and a word document with the setting we used.

Does anyone see a solution for the above?
Is it possible to update the software? And is that useful? Manual doesn;t say anything about this.

I can’t upload the manual as I’m a new user. But it is on the website provided in this post.

Used settings are below.

Thank you all!

Kind regards Bas

Pn13 en Pn14 determine the V/f curve, meant to get a bit more power at lower speeds for drilling etc.
Problem is I can’t read the power with this VFD.
