What is the maximum material thickness with the typical set up? I may want to carve on 4x4 =3.5" OR 6x6 = 5.5" etc.

Hi Erik - that’s a bit of a loaded question in reality. The max travel of the machine is ~5.25". To cut that depth you need a really long bit, which would be difficult to find. I think he longest flutes I’ve seen are like 3" or so.

I am not looking to carve that depth, I may want to carve into thick stock like 4x4 or 6x6

So the waste board would have to be adjustable.

I think I know what to do.I will share once I get my machine in april.
