Just got around to setting up the ATC this weekend, and realized there’s already a wire coming from the VFD into Spindle Control port 7 so the spindle won’t run CCW. I thought I would ask about that before I just pulled it out and put in the white one. Is it there for a reason? Should it go somewhere else?
Also, whenever the ATC is plugged in, I get a black screen on startup. It still starts I think, since the e-stop works, but nothing displays on screen. If I unplug the ATC and restart, it goes back to normal.
It definitely is the white wire (taped) that you want connected to Spindle Control Pin #7 as it is for CCW rotation. From what I have read the blue wire (taped) could be used to control (switch on/off) a vacuum or router.
And just to put a bow on it for posterity. Taking out the blue wire and putting the white one in worked fine. I just put the tape from the white wire onto the blue one and left it hanging out in there.
Also for posterity… Seems like the black screen was not caused by the firmware version. It still happens when I start the Masso with the USB stick containing the ATC subroutines plugged into it. Works fine if you start with no USB and plug it in after startup.
