I’m hoping you can help out here because I don’t know what else to do. I can’t get the redline spindle to run CCW to let go of the collet/tool. I followed all manuals and instructions to the letter and have it all installed and setup. It picks up the tool properly but won’t spin in CCW.
Even without the ATC it won’t spin CCW. I’ve verified in F1 that CW and CCW are enabled and setup properly, neither are inverted. When selecting CW or CCW on the F3 page I can see the High signal on the F1 page. I also hear a click in the main control box when pressing CW but not CCW.
I’ve opened the controller and noticed spindle control pin 7 on the bottom is empty which others have said is the CCW connection. In the ATC install manual it says there’s a white wire with black cap that isn’t used but another person on the forum said that should be connected to the pin 7? I don’t want to do anything prematurely and fry the board or something so I thought I would ask here.
Other things I’ve done:
- verified UVW are connected properly on the spindle side to spindle control box.
- Checked resistance from pins 1-4 on spindle side, all are within 0.2-0.3ohm
