Can I add the GCode software to my computer

Question: Can i put the software on my computer that creates the Gcode for my projects so that I can open the gcode o my computer. I often want to open up the file I have run on my cnc but if I want to back into the gcode I can open it on my computer… can I install the software on my computer? That way I can open the file up on my computer

I use Visual Studio Code to look at Gcode, but Vim or other software should allow you to open it also. it is a text file so notepad or whatever else should also work.

You can use CAMotics to view/simulate gcode on your PC,

I use NotePad ++. It’s a free download and has very flexible formatting options.
