Forgive me if I missed the post for this somewhere. All I can find is that we need to go to the Realtime website to get the latest post processors. Is that still accurate? If so, why, when setting up a new machine in Vectric does it load V3 and V4 post processors and they are named differently than the ones on Realtime’s website? See the attached photo of the default setup when adding a new machine. I manually added the V2 that you can see in the photo so you can see how the naming convention is not standardized.
Delete your machines in your machine configuration, then reinstall the machine using the cloud icon. that will give you the latest post processor.
They are named different, but the content is the same.
@OnefinityCNC I am sorry but that is not a good solution. To be blunt, it is just plain sloppy work. A basic naming and versioning system should be used. That is one of the very basic fundamentals. If all three have the same content, then why do they have different version numbers, let alone the non-standardized naming? You also did not answer the question about which source is the correct or most accurate. Is it getting the most current machine profile from Vectric or is it from Realtime’s website? And finally, where is the information to the above questions posted so it is easy to find? I would suggest at the very least to standardize the naming convention and use one naming convention moving forward. If you are going to maintain the files on the website as through Vectric, make the same files available in both locations.
