With the combination of twelve 7W lasers, this laser output is similar to a stand alone CO2 laser, but you get the large size of your CNC machine.

The new 3 in one laser gives the cutting ability of a 64W laser, the middle power level of a 44W laser, and the fine detail of a 24W laser with just a flip of a switch on the laser head! Tune your projects for whichever power level you want.

12 Lasers Combined to Give the Highest Power Offered for a CNC Upgrade

From the inventors of using diode lasers as an upgrade to CNC machines, we bring you the highest power laser ever offered for a CNC machine. We combined 12 7W lasers to get 64W of pure optical power for maximum cutting efficiency. Don’t get a stand alone CO2 laser when you can have a large table for a fraction of the price of a large format machine.

Product Features:

  • Incredibly Awesome 64W of Maximum Optical Power, the highest power laser of its kind on the market!
  • Integrated electronics – No power loss on extended cable runs
  • Advanced Tilt Sensor Technology™, laser will only fire when pointed down at the material for extra safety.
  • FDA compliant interface module for extra safety with power on reset and locking key switch.
  • Optically isolated inputs for industrial control.
  • Red cross hair laser for finding your project zero position.
  • Full metal enclosure with integrated J Tech safety shielding
  • Full Metal Mounts with Magnetic latching and the ability to lock in place.
  • Integrated Air Assist Nozzle.
  • Maximized cooling with dual fans.
  • Adjustable sliding shroud for 3D engravings.

OK, now this is good news! I am getting ready to get a laser but trying to decide between the 24w for detail and 44W for cutting. This new ability to change between strengths seems like it will be great.

I too had been on the fence but, this just made my decision an easy one.

So, do i buy this or buy the 88 watt next year?

Are the beams collimated into a single beam? What is the focused beam size for each setting (64/44/24)? Usually when multiple diode lasers are combined to create a higher power one, they result in beams that are larger than the individual laser because they land next to each other or overlap so the kerf expands over the single beam.

While i cannot speak authoritatively to this, jtech advised me to use the same 0.0067 kerf width for the 44 as the 24, so i expect this to be the same.

In reality however the much more intense 44 definitely ablates more material…

Jim,

They talked about it a little bit in the live last night. Sounds like they rearranged the stacking in the 64w. Unlike the original 24 that had a box pattern for the four beams, the 64 (on the 24 setting) has two parallel stacked beams giving it a slightly finer kerf than the OG 24. Jay made it sound like going up to 44 or 64 just continues to stack beams on the parallel lines. He also said the kerf difference is negligible.
