Hello, I was finally getting around to ordering an Elite Foreman when I saw the Gen 2 was launching. They seem to have about the same cut area, but the Elite gen two seems a lot more economical than the gen 1 elite foreman…..almost half the cost. Is there a comparison chart between the two and/or can someone explain the dramatic price difference. It seems odd. I will probably be pushing the machines pretty hard, so I’m looking for a robust and dependable set up.
It is the launch price, not the regular price. You would become an early adopter which comes with the usual early adopter trials and tribulations. That is why it is cheaper. You are assisting in the evolution of the product. At least this is my understanding of the whole “launch a product” system. If I am wrong Onefinity will correct me
The other reason why it is cheaper is the electronics. Masso controller (in Gen1) is really expensive. The Masso is more of a proven solution while the redline is new and is tailored to Onefinity ecosystem. Also in the base price of Gen2, there is no HMI. You have to provide your own computer and screen.
