So the history here is I have had my machine for a short period of time. Its currently set up on an aluminum extrusion frame (8080 and 4080 so beefy) and after leveling my wasteboard and tramming the machine both X and Y I tried cutting out my first few projects. I noticed some areas where cutting deeper than other areas so I thought I would try the fishing line method of checking for machine twist…
This is where everything started going downhill. It showed that one foot was off by a significant amount from the others. I now have it set perfect to the fishing line. The part that is concerning me is that I have an elite foreman and to get the fishing line method spot on I had to remove one of the risers from one foot. Seems like a huge variance considering the 2 y rails are on massive extrusions that were straight when I checked before mounting it.
