I’m taking my truck to work tomorrow and leaving early to collect this fabled lumber order.

I just got a notice that changed my delivery from Wed to Thursday. Not a big deal as I will be busy tomorrow anyway. I have T track on the way and it will take me awhile to figure out the layout . Looks like this will be an exciting weekend!
For several of us it sounds like!
Just noticed the scaled grid system - very cool!
Mr. Krag I was assembling my machine today and much to my chagrin the sleeve did not close up.
(Even with the onefinity z slider clamp completely closed), to the 65 mm and closing it in my hand the hole is more than 65 mm which means it will not hold the router at all. the material of the sleeve needs to be thicker. Even completely closed it is 66 MM and again that is with the aluminum clamp completely closed. Can you thicken it up a bit and send me another? yet another delay.
Not intended to close until it touches. The interior diameter is 65mm as it sits on a table. Its just a split ring vs solid to allow compression.
I’ll tweak the model and as soon as mine is here Friday I’ll fit check it before sending it out.
i know it should not close before it touches the barrel of the router. That is my point. It does. So there is no way it can clamp the router. it needs to be thicker .

Are you trying to use this for the DeWalt 611 or the Makita or some other router? The sleeve MrKrag made for me fit snug around the router body. To get on too that first cut you can do what I did and rape the router body with the Number one fixit duck tape. Start with a round sticky side out then rape sticky side in tell you get the fit you need. this is just temperairy till you get the sheeve you need. The picture is of my temp sleeve cut off when I got a proper sleeve from mrkag.
I thought of that solution too, but I would rather the sleeve be correct than putting duct tape on it. When you buy something, you shouldn’t have to modify it just to use it.
glade you liked it. It is very helpful.
Yes, I agree. The sleeve that mrkrag made for me was first run site unseen. He has made updates to the project since making mine. The duck tape was my attempt to get the router to fit with out a sleeve. It failed in that it did not offset the router forward so that the router head did not hit the Z slide. The duck tape did let me make a first cut. That was thrilling. His sleeve did the offset I needed. I now have the spindle and its great! But don’t have a dust boot from OneFinity. So now I am working on making a temp dust boot tell that arrives. This is all new to me so each step is thrilling.
I’ll be digging into it today when I get done with this pesky day job, constantly getting in the way of my projects
LOL I understand. Hey I plugged it in today and it works. I jogged it around. so cool. I have the masso pendant coming it was shipped today. Other than not having any way to cut stuff I am ready to start making chips. i could wrap the router and shim with duct tape but I would rather wait a bit more .
