How to reduce deceleration time of spindle

That was amazingly simple to fix. I had felt uneasy about the spin down time ever since I installed the spindle. Thanks Tom.

That refers to a normal stop command. But does this also apply when you assign an input to the function 8 Free Stop or 43 Emergency Stop.

I’m immensely sorry for missing your question…only a month late.

I did some testing and here’s what I found:

• The fix discussed here works with the stop (M5) command.
• Does NOT work if the soft emergency button is activated from the display screen, free-spins to a stop.
• Does NOTwork if the Emergency Stop button on the Buildbotics controller is activated, free-spins to a stop.
• Have not tested input assignment.

I noticed the same issue and reported on the 1.4.0a3 firmware thread. A second opinion is most valuable because it just reaffirms the finding.
