I just upgraded my Buildbotics based X50 to a redline based system. The Jtech Laser Driver box mounted perfectly onto the top of the Buildbotics controller. I do not see anywhere where the Jtech Laser Driver could be mounted onto either the Redline Controller or HMI. Has anybody come up with a nice integrated mounting option for the Redline system?
I thought I saw somewhere that it mounts to the HMI. I don’t have the HMI so mine is currently in the rats neat configuration.
That’s too funny, because I thought I saw the same thing. But when I got my Redline system (upgrading my X50 BB based system), there are no holes on the back of the HMI that line-up with the JTech driver box’s holes. I even went out to JTech’s website to see if on their order page you can specify Redline specifically to maybe see if there’s a new driver box that’s available for the Redline HMI.
I thought I saw it in the package from Jtech but it could have been for the BB. I would reach out to Jay he has been super responsive anytime I’ve had a question. I have to say this 34 watt is so much more powerful than the 6 watt I had on my old machine. Originally I opted for the 64 watt, but always thought it might be way overkill. When the 34 watt became available I felt much more comfortable with the price and the power level. For now I really feel like it was the right choice, especially for the speed and power the 1F can deliver.
Ok, I’ll reach out to him, thank you. I got the 34W as well and I’m astonished at how powerful it is.
jtech sells the mount for the back of the HMI
Oh, awesome! Not sure how I missed that, lol. Thank you very much!
if you order, put a note in your order for them to check the length of screws, the ones they sent me were to short.
would that laser etch aluminum 6061 alloy
Diode laser won’t etch aluminum but there are certain making sprays that will leave a permanent mark.
Diodes are great for organic materials, dark, and non-reflective materials. They will not cut clear materials, but can cut colored materials of the same type. For example acrylic clear won’t cut, black will cut. Jtech says it will mark stainless. It will also mark anodized aluminum by removing the anodized layer. There is a tone more out there than I know, but it’s definitely a very fun and useful add on.
Well, too late, lol. I placed the order last night when I made that previous post. Thank you though for trying to give me a heads up. Very much appreciated, Sir. Hopefully they’ve figured that out by now. ![]()
For those of you who are looking for the mount for the laser driver on the back of the Redline HMI, this is it - Onefinity Redline and Masso Driver Mount - J Tech Photonics, Inc.
Also…I’m an idiot and didn’t realize I already had one from my original purchase of my laser and then bought a second one. So I have one if anybody wants it, just pay for shipping and it’s yours.

Thanks for sharing the link.
