My laser still burned the wood at M3 S10, can i go any lower
you can go to s1 if need be
Copy that thank you, will give it a try
Mine does this as well. I haven’t tried anything lower since I now zero x and y for the laser via the MDI. I know what my offsets are for x and y after I ran some trials. I used calipers and a headband magnifier to measure the offsets and after about three iterations, had them nailed.
I can now outline V carves with the laser with very accurate results. I am not sure I could pull this off with visually zeroing. In other words, zeros are found with probe plate for the V carve itself and then using MDI with known offset values and then zero for the laser.
Onefinity sent me a message and said you can take the laser down to a 1 with M3 S1 instead of M3 S10, try that and see how it goes with yours, I am going to attempt it tonight and see how it works. Thank you for reaching out to me.
