Masso G3 build - Tangential knife success with Sheetcam

Mr Rodger hello sir man thank you now the changes to the motor 1 or theY1 settings are the same as you shared earlier where it goes from 1.8 to .3 and 10 to 360

Also are you using vcarve Pro or aspire for your designing software and you’re using the wrapping

Some values can be adjusted like the jerk, velocity, and accel

I’ll be trying it first thing in the morning sir if it works I am willing to pay for your time I don’t know if that’s ethical or not if so if you still have my email shoot me a payment method thank you again sir

Haha no need for payment we are all here to learn. My Darth Vader helmet has about 15 mins left to carve and I’ll show you the result.

Yes sir Mister Rogers I highly appreciate your help I pray one day I’ll be in the teaching position where I could pay it forward God bless

Beautiful Rodger you’re using vcarve Pro or aspire

I am using vcarve desktop. I just downloaded the .stl from thingiverse and imported it into vcarve desktop

Does the vcarve desktop have the rotary option available when you’re setting up your material or are you doing it as a flat object

Yes it has the rotary option

Can you post the file you are carving here? Post the vcarve file and the gcode you sent to the controller and I’ll look at them

Ty

Have you tested the axis with just MDI commands - just to make sure it is not wiring/connections?

Yes I have G0A360 1 turn G0A1200 5 turns

Congratulations. Thank you for providing the follow-up. Perseverance, and knowledgeable and supportive forum members are a great combination. A few obligatory project photos I assume will now be shared of your first rotary projects (-:
