To be fair, and with respect to RR, these are completely different products WRT form, function, material, etc…
trust me I have nothing but respect for MR roman and his products which I have bought with great satisfaction. my point was hoe in the world can tools today charge 800 dollars for something like that.
I agree, and I just didn’t want you or others to think I was dismissing RR or his products. There is a reason that steel tube solution is priced higher, and for some users and use cases I am sure the cost can be justified.
If you really want some sticker shock, go price 4" Nordfab quick connect ducting!
I think I paid more for the duct work than I did for the dust collector.
Absolutely lovely stuff, incredibly easy to install and built for industry (hence the pricing), and I’d do it all over again, but I cut my original duct plan in half and moved tools around rather than outfitting the whole shop as I initially wanted too.
The best solution is the one that works.
