Newbie here coming from Shapeoko. I’m having a hard time with bit changes on the redline. When I create a file in Aspire with multiple tools, I’m used to a single file. I did a run today on the redline foreman and the tool change never popped up? It used the same bit for the next path. Any suggestions? Best practices for the workflow? TIA
Does this discussion help?

Yes it does for creating the multiple files. I want to also use the eazy z so no as the file should be able to handle all of my tool changes. Again new, and in the tool menu I see some settings, but nothing makes sense as to be able to make a tool change. Thanks for the input.
Do you have Redline VFD selected?
I do. It may be the way I am exporting files out of the aspire software. More testing today and I will post my results. Thanks for the help. Much appreciated
Also, you have your tools numbered differently in Aspire? Tool setter set up and configured?
Just trying to eliminate some possible factors.
I don’t have that. Can you elaborate on the tool numbering? In onefinity I have no tools. So it may be that I need to download the file to onefinity as well to match? I tried to setup the easy z but no luck so far.
I did some work on this today and have it fully working. I added the too changer as well. I will post all of my findings later tonight, but mainly the issue has to have been with 1. Post processor not being up to date on my vector/aspire software and 2. Settings in the redline controller enabled for tool change probe (eazy z) and 3. Tool height settings for the eazy z. I’ll try to also include pictures. Thank you for all of the support and questions that got me to this solution.
Curious what I did not configure, probably on the CNC itself as I exported my toolpaths from Carveco Maker, targeting Onefinity Redline, I do have the Txx and M6 commands in the GCode but the CNC did not stop for tool changes. The toolsetter is configured and manually works perfectly. I think I am missing some checkboxes on the CNC…
Ok Today I had success, everything was setup right on the Readline, just had to click in the “Manual” checkbox and after that toolchange worked like a charm. I have to get used to tool numbering as that’s the only thing you’ll see on the screen, T5, T23, etc…but worked like a charm!
