The redline controller has a built in button for this. no code or copying needed.

That’s what I do…each of the thumb drives I use has a SpindleWarmup job. I also keep a couple of jobs for signing my work with a v-bit or the laser so they’re always handy

I did do the break in procedure when I originally got it all set up and the noise was there but went away after the break in. But every time I would start it up on another day it came back. That sounds damaging to me, I have 5 different machines with spindles, I “broke” them in the first time I used them and from then on I just ran the machine, never had an issue and I have never had one make noise anything like that, my current spindle is a G Penny with ceramic bearings. FWIW Pat

[image] OnefinityCNC: The redline controller has a built in button for this. Have they updated the bacon button? Mine only has 3 steps - 10min@6K, 7min@12K and 3min@18K. I have the 2.2kw spindle. Are there different warm-up routines for the two different spindles?

Hi Ken, No, not at all. This update just helps to better spread the grease and lower the audible sound a user might hear when warming up.

I’ve talked to support and they say this is normal
Ran the recommended warm up period and ran 1 hour with a 1/8” bit
It sounds like my ex wife….lol
