how about on future controllers you add a usb port on a side of the thing other than right by every other cable for using the usb stick.
plugging that usb in 10 times a day is getting to be a real pain having to worry about messing up any of the other cables.
If you are using a usb drive, I would suggest you get an inexpensive usb hub, with our,e foot long cable. Then you can put it where you want ( like by your monitor) here are just a few examples. $15-$30
