VCarve Missing Tools

I’ve been having an issue in VCarve that maybe someone else has seen…

I have tools in my Tool Database that don’t show up when selecting tools for toolpaths within a job.

Example:
Here are tools in my Tool Database:

When I create a VCarve Inlay toolpath, the VBits with tool numbers 31 and 32 don’t show up for selection:

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Craig

You have to activate a tool for a material or machine in order for it to show up. Go to your tool database, select the tool and make sure that there are pass depth and feeds and speeds set for it. Then it should show up when you want to make a tool path.

What Don said.

For each combination of material and machine, you can have different tools.

New to CNC and this forum, so forgive me for being ignorant. I am getting a Machinist, it’s been ordered. I have VCarve V12.
Do I need to configure Vcarve for a onefinity?
I don’t see the name listed in post processors

Yes, you will need to configure it.

Go to the Vectric portal (I think it’s portal.vectric.com)

Choose SUPPORT and POST-PROCESSORS

There is a list to choose from. Onefinity Machinist is on that list.

You can download it to your V12 software.
