Thought I’d just share some of the things I’ve made over the last month on the Onefinity.
Nice work.
How do you finish your cutting boards? I use 2 to 3 coats food safe mineral oil, since the boards have to be retreated regularly. Your finish has a much nicer luster than anything I’ve achieved.
I’ve never worried much about it since I’ve only made “working” boards so there’s no expectation of a great finish, but your presentation is much nicer.
Cheers.
I use mineral oil first, and then once I’ve let it sit and removed the excess I use board butter. Currently, I use board butter from 731 Woodworks because I got some from them at a meet and greet. Once I run out, I’ll probably try to make my own (mix of bees wax and mineral oil). I’ve used butcher block conditioner instead of board butter. It works fine, but I think I prefer board butter.
Pardon my poor manners. Thank you for the compliments!
