14w vs 24w fine detail

Hi All,
Looking to purchase laser. I will be doing 80% engraving, very little will be photos and the same for cutting thick material.
What i’m really looking for is the fine detail for engraving.
Can the 24w provide the same level of fine detail as the 14w?

Hi John,

I am in the same boat as you. I, too, am torn between the 14 and 24. I am afraid the 14 will limit me down the road, so I am leaning toward the 24.

Did you end up getting one? If so, which one, and are you happy with your choice?

Hi Dawn,

I went with the 44w, I spoke with Jtech which one for engraving and they said it will do both cutting and engraving and it does. I dont do much cutting.
