I’m new to this community - just joined today. I’m also new to the CNC world. I just finished setting up my new Journeyman Pro and want to install my spoil board. Before I do I’d like to cut a groove around the perimiter of the machine’s cuttimg limits using a simple VCarve file. My question: how to properly set the job up and zero my z-axis? In my drawing I made a 1220mm x 816mm rectangle starting at 0,0 - I made the thickness 12mm (starting point) - i want to use a 60 degree v-bit and cut to a depth of 1 to 1.5mm. If I run this file will it move to the starting point and lower the bit to the surface and begin the carve, or is there something else I need to do? Any help would be appreciated.
