Address Numbers

Better half decided she wanted a “large” new address number on the outside of the house.

So I made this out of HDPE. It is about 32” X 20”, and is backlit with flexible silicone embedded LED strips. I’m pretty happy with the final result.

I think it is lit in the picture. Backlit, so you really only get the sillouette. I bet it’ll look great when mounted. And since you really never asked me, I thought I would add my two cents and say that I’ve had a really good time with the Shelly RGBWPM constant current LED controller. It can control pretty much any 12-24v COB light strip you want (up to 4 channels) and there is an app that would allow you (if you wanted) to also go through the internet to turn it on and off. It is rated IP20, so it would need its own special housing, but I like the fact that I can make blink when the pizza guy is comming. The four channels can be used for Red, Blue, Green, and white - if you are using a full color LED strip, or you can just use them indivudally for four different strips if you feel that is better. Shelly Webpage with link to RGBWPM Their webpage says it can deal with 4A per channel, but the total is not to exceed 10A. More than enough for sign, I’d say. Good luck!

Very nice, looks great

Hi. I got these:

I needed the flexibility of this really small version to trace all the numbers. They are installed in a slot cut in the back of the ellipse and each number. This backlights, flooding the wall behind the sign as I mounted it about 1” off the wall. I wanted to go super cool RGBW but couldn’t find anything small enough with tight enough a bending radius
