So I’m not quite ready to buy a spindle but I am starting to so my homework. I know I don’t want to deal with liquid cooled spindles due to the maintenance and extra cable/hose management. I am interested in something that can run the 1/2 bits since 1/4 is so limited. What is good and what should I stay away from?

Like you I didn’t want the hassle of water lines and a circulation tank and the thought of the added mess if something would leak. Here is a link to the one I purchased but have not put my machine together yet.

Sweet! I would be interested in what you think about it. Also, I didn’t see anything regarding if it can run 1/2” bits.

The “identical” one to the aliexpress is $200 on Amazon inc shipping. ER11 collet so typically 1/4” and smaller bits.

How long of a cable did you go with?
Nope; ER11 collet is too small. You’ll need an ER20.
